"When tone and feel are non-negotiable, a Rhodes guitar is the answer. Our custom builds start at $1,500, tailored entirely to your hands and ears. Take the blonde Tele-style pictured here: featuring hand-wound Jazmin Electronics pickups, a relic nitro finish, and a chunky maple neck, a build of this caliber runs approximately $2,500. Every guitar includes a premium hard-shell case and case candy. Beyond our hand painted, Fender style guitars, we curate a selection of vintage and modern instruments, each hand-vetted by some of the best luthiers in the business to meet our rigorous standards for soul and playability."
Our Guitars
"Every Rhodes guitar is hand-built by Southern California music veteran and custom boot maker Tony Murga (Murga Boot Co.). Tony brings the same precision and grit to lutherie that he does to leatherwork—each build is crafted to his exacting standards for playability. We aren't chasing 'period-correct' specs or industry trends; we build guitars that are effortless to play and sound fantastic. Beyond our custom shop, we offer a curated, Master Luthier-approved selection of Gibson guitars. Each piece is hand-vetted by Chris Rhodes personally and set up by "Guitar Remedy" who if you know, you know. Paul Stebner is one heck of a luthier by any standards. This high level of experience ensures these guitars meet our strict criteria for tone, resonance, and soul. Whether it’s a Rhodes guitar, or a classic Gibson, if it’s on our wall, it’s built to be played."
Our commitment to the community
At Rhodes Guitars, we're more than just guitar makers. We are music lovers, and we spend a lot of time not only playing them, but listening to and recording artists who can really play this instrument. Through direct feedback from these artists, we strive to make a better sounding guitar each and every time we put a new instrument out to the community. As a gesture of gratitude for what learning to play guitar has done for me personally, I donate 20% of the guitars we build to young, up and coming musicians to ensure they have the tools they need to create.
